You will often see this material called Yooperlite in the crystal market. Yooperlite is a trademarked local specific name for a fluorecent Sodalite found only the shores of the Great Lakes in the US. The material you see in spheres, carvings, palmstones, etc is sourced from Madagascar. Therefore it would be incorrect to call it Yooperlite even though this is also a Fluorecent Sodalite.
